- Independent soil test interpretation
In Paddock Agronomy
Our agronomic planning is backed up by in paddock checks at
timely intervals based on seasonal requirements.
- Identification and management of insects and diseases
- Timely in paddock herbicide recommendations for crop management
- In paddock crop diagnosis of crop limitations and deficiencies
- Seasonal crop nutrition recommendations
- Irrigation Scheduling
Cost: $88 (inc GST) per hour
Budgeted Visits:
As a guide and depending on services required:
- Agronomic Planning: Will depend largely on area’s
and cropping timeframes.
In Paddock Agronomy:
Pre Flowering: 1 Visit / week
Flowering to Pod/Grain fill:
1
Visit every 3 days (Legumes)
1 Visit twice a week (Corn)
Time spent per visit will depend on area’s monitored.
As a rule of thumb up 20 hectares approximately 1 hour per
visit plus travel and 20 to 40 hectares 1.5 hours plus travel.

About:
Dean Booth (Partner KB Pastoral)
Dean obtained a Cert IV Agriculture before being employed
in 1994 for a Chemical Reseller Company as a Sales Agronomist
in Southern Queensland. After 6 years Dean established his
own private agronomy consulting company in this region specialising
in Broadacre cropping including: Wheat, Barley, Soybeans,
Mung Beans, Corn, Faba Beans, Chickpeas and Cotton. After
5 years in this business Drought Conditions forced Dean to
leave the region. Dean in 2007 moved to Charters Towers to
join his father’s Pastoral Agribusiness Company that
services North Queensland.
Andrew Lashmar (Partner Farm Management Solutions)
Andrew has a range of experiences including all aspects of
farm management which have been gained through over thirty
years of being involved in agriculture. In recent years, Andrew
has grown sugarcane, sunflowers, maize, mung beans, navy beans
and soybeans in the Burdekin. Recently Andrew was employed
by the Sugar Research & Development Corporation (SRDC),
as a Project Officer to provide assistance and support to
grower groups, and also as an Industry Liaison Officer with
QDPI&F. Andrew has a Diploma of Farm Management and is
currently working his way through a Bachelor of Business (Agricultural
Management), from Marcus Oldham Farm Management College, Geelong.
